Sony Online Entertainment, verantwoordelijk voor everquest en H1Z1, heet nu Daybreak Game Company

Columbus Nova, een investeringsbedrijf uit New York, heeft Sony Online Entertainment opgekocht van Sony en omgedoopt tot Daybreak Game Company. Dit betekend dat de studio nu een onafhankelijke ontwikkelaar is, die zich verder focust op online games. Sony Online Entertainment was bekend van onder andere de Everquest serie, Planetfall, DC Universe Online en natuurlijk de zombie game H1Z1.

In een forumpost geeft het Daybreak team aan dat ze zich nu kunnen richten op multiplatform ontwikkeling waaronder “PlayStation en Xbox, mobile en meer!”.
